Everyone had a blast at Fanimation’s National Ceiling Fan Day (NCFD) party on August 17, 2013.  The purpose of the party was to raise awareness for the first annual NCFD on September 18, 2013.  Fanimation initiated NCFD to educate Americans about the energy and cost saving qualities of fans.  If everyone in the nation shut off their central heating and cooling systems for just one day and depended solely on fans to stay comfortable, we’d save over three trillion kilowatts in energy consumption!

Fanimation definitely knows how to throw a party and pulled out all the stops to make sure that guests were well fed and entertained.  What better way to celebrate fans than with free food supplied by Dashboard Diner?  We had free beer on tap for the adults and root beer floats for the kids.  We also had a line of beautiful classic muscle cars on display.  Founder of Fanimation, Tom Frampton, brought out his classic as well.  Hoosier Antique & Classic Bicycle Club brought some of their antique bikes too.  The DJ was cranking classic oldies, kids were getting their face painted, and we had a caricature artist on hand too.  Guests loved our one of a kind Fanimation Antique Fan Museum.

We had close to 300 attendees at our first annual awareness party and we know NCFD will build more and more momentum each year.  We hope to continue reaching out to larger audiences all over the world and educate them about using fans to save energy and lower costs.  Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about NCFD.  Let’s make September 18th a day to remember!
