What’s up? My folks named me Crestford, but I prefer to go by Cres because it sounds less pretentious. I’m a total nature lover and would rather be camping than doing just about anything else.  I’m super excited to be featured in this blog right before Earth Day because, in my opinion, it’s the most important day of the year.

Aside from the fact that I spend most of my time outdoors, I love Earth Day because it motivates people to get involved with environmental conservation.  Every year I volunteer at the energy conservation tent in my town’s Earth Day festival and every year I get the same question, “How do I lower my energy bill and reduce my energy consumption?” Well, the answer to that question is easy! Use your ceiling fans!

Did you know that if everyone in the United States turned off their air conditioning for one day and used their fans, we’d save over three trillion kilowatt hours of energy consumption? That’s enough energy to power New York City for months! Here are a few more fun facts that you should definitely know about me:

  •   I’m wet location rated which means I love rain and garden hoses
  •  I have a 52” blade sweep and 14 degree blade pitch
  • I operate on three forward and reverse speeds
  •  I’m pull chain operated and include three (3) 40 watt B12 bulbs
