What? Oh, yes dear, I would like a spot of cream in my tea. What? Oh, you want to know my name? It’s Stonehill dear, an old family name that I’ve traced back to the Tudor dynasty. I’m starting to lose hearing in my right ear, so please speak up and close to my left ear.  Oh, thank you dear, much better. My ancestors immigrated to the United States from Yorkshire, England.  If you want to know more about Yorkshire, just watch an episode of Downton Abbey.  My granddaughter just loves that show and I think it provides a much needed education on etiquette for the younger generation.

In my day, the dinner table was for proper conversation amongst those present, not surfing the internet and texting friends from those obnoxious cell phones. But enough rambling about modern technology from a feisty old woman, we’ve got more important things to discuss. My favorite day of the week is Tuesday because that’s when I play bingo, my favorite author is Agatha Christie and the last thing I crossed off my bucket list was traveling to Egypt to see the Pyramids.
