Fanimation Celebrates Earth Day!

This year Fanimation had two fans that won the Most Efficient Award, our Islander (MAD3250**) and the Louvre (MAD325**).   The ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2014 designation recognizes the most efficient products among those that qualify for the ENERGY STAR program.  Fanimation has a wide assortment of ENERGY STAR rated fans that can be found here: Fanimation ENERGY STAR.

Initiated National Ceiling Fan Day (NCFD):

Fanimation proudly launched the first annual National Ceiling Fan Day (NCFD) on September 18, 2013.  The American Lighting Association (ALA), more than 20 ceiling fan manufacturers, The Home Depot and Lowe’s Companies, Inc. joined in this effort as well.  The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and ENERGY STAR contributed as well.  In participating, we were able to significantly reduce energy consumption worldwide.  We look forward to the momentum we can build in the years to come.

ENERGY STAR Special Recognition Award:

Fanimation was awarded an ENERGY STAR Special Recognition Award for initiating National Ceiling Fan Day (NCFD) and our partnership with ENERGY STAR on successfully launching this Day.  Fanimation will be featured in the ENERGY STAR Profiles of Leadership at ENERGY STAR Partner Award Ceremony in Washington D.C. on April 29, 2014.  We look forward to continue building on our existing partnership with ENERGY STAR.

Plans for 2014:

  • Work with legislators and power/light companies to include ceiling fans as part of an overall home energy efficiency plan,
  • Building on our existing partnerships with ENERGY STAR and other efficiency advocates,
  • Implement additional corporate sustainability practices throughout our company,
  • Continue developing products with an emphasis on energy efficiency, and
  • Grow exposure for NCFD and continue educating the American public about the benefits of fan usage.

Today, celebrate Earth Day with Fanimation by reducing your energy consumption.  Turning off your central heating and cooling for just a few hours and relying on fans to regulate body temperature can help save hundreds of kilowatt hours of energy!
