Leadership: Pete Duprey, Vice President, has been with Avenues Lighting for 9 years, since day one. There are 25 employees at the store.

Locations: Avenues Lighting is located in Jacksonville, Florida. There’s a sister location, called The Lighting House, in Shelburne, Vermont.

How Avenues Lighting Got Started: Pete says Avenues Lighting opened in 2008, during difficult economic times, but there was a sense that if they could make it through that time, they could make it long term. Now, almost 10 years later, Avenues Lighting is Jacksonville’s premier lighting and fan showroom. Avenues has a very family-oriented culture. “We look out for each other and are like a family,” Pete says. “We have weekly cookouts and really enjoy one another.”

Top-selling Fanimation Fans: Levon and Spitfire

Favorite Fanimation Fan: “Levon—I have it in my living room,” Pete says. “I love it. It’s a unique 8-bladed fan that really makes a space.”

What You Like About Fanimation: “We’ve been working with Fanimation from the day we opened. We’ve really grown with Fanimation over the last few years. Today they are our largest fan account,” he explains. “Fanimation is always reasonable to work with. They get that we’re working in this together, and they are so easy and straightforward to deal with. Customer service is responsive and the reps are some of the best reps I have. Plus, their designs are great.”
